Based on experience, my father became interested in plants and gardening during the pandemic. Not only growing fruits and vegetables, but also in the ornamental plants which also makes a great interior decoration at home. He spent many hours a day to monitor the plants in our front-yard. Not a big fan of plants and gardening, but our front-yard has turned into an actual jungle during the pandemic, and it’s perfectly fine to me as long as he enjoys spending time with himself, and with the plants as well. Also there are times when our neighbors praised his dedication in taking care of plants. It was nice to hear those words knowing the fact that he was really dedicated to have a beautiful small garden in our front-yard. In that case, I realized the benefits of plants to our health and well-being. Imagine waking up every morning and seeing how it grows? It was a fulfilling moment.
Learning how to take care of plants has been both gratifying and humbling. There are times when some of them are thriving, but also some that are not looking so good, despite the best efforts. When that happens, you just have to take a step back and hope for the best.
